Just curious, but I have heard the July 4th weekend 'event' out in Black Rock called both of these things....
here is Lisa's site www.burninbush.org/ that has some info on it.

Re: Burnin' Bush vs. No Man
Fri, May 28, 2004 - 11:24 PMWould be nice to meet some of you ladies in person out there at Burnin'Bush, that's if you can make the trek to the desert! Supposed to be an Art Car Parade through Gerlach in the afternoon on the 4th as well... I was there last year, what fun!
Otherwise, I was dreaming we could all meet in the Bay Area some time, some where, for a Stitch&Bitch Session or tea party or artmaking hour or something of the sort. Would any of you be interested?! I'm tired of living the life of the isolated artist and solitary M O M...

Re: Burnin' Bush vs. No Man
Sun, May 30, 2004 - 3:21 PMYes darling, I most certainly would...I'll be bouncing around from LA to SF quite a bit over the next couple of months and would love to get together.
I've got a pyro gig the night of July 4th, but will try and hi-tail it up to the playa that night or the next day.
Also, a bit off-topic, but the SOBB form seems to be having some sort of problem processing.

Re: Burnin' Bush vs. No Man
Wed, June 2, 2004 - 2:19 PMI'm planning on attending Juplaya festivities again this year. And I'd love to meet more "Sisters" in person.
Keegan, I live in Richmond (the city in the east bay, not the neigborhood in the city), and need some kicks in the butt to get going on sewing and costume projects. Stitch & Bitch sounds like a great idea.

Tue, June 8, 2004 - 9:26 PMWhen might be a good Month for a Stitch & Bitch get together?
Mid-July?
August?
September?
and WHERE? I'd offer my place but I live in the boonies in NV!

Re: Stitch & Bitch
Sat, June 12, 2004 - 11:57 AMHey Lisa,
I'm looking at July for starting to host some stitch & bitches. If you're not already on the Crafty Vixens tribe I would totally reccomend it. We were just talking about putting together a regular crafty night. What is better for you, weekday, weekend? Do you have any trips planned for coming into SF any of those months?
Let us know and we can start to set some dates.
hugs,
*steph*
p.s. I will see you for sure out on the playa July 4th weekend.....

Re: Burnin' Bush vs. No Man
Tue, June 8, 2004 - 7:15 PMA guy named Silverman wrote me an email explaining No Man:
A smaller group that is very loosely structured, started in 1998. Gather over the 4th at the 1996 burning man location (near center of BR playa). Tend to have small quiet parties.

Re: Burnin' Bush vs. No Man
Tue, June 15, 2004 - 11:59 PMi'll be heading out for my first trip to burnin' bush this year. can't wait to see you again. saw the pictures from the art car parade in Houston. Heard some great stories about it too. I'm bummed that I won't be able to make it out any sooner than the 2nd of July, but hopefully I'll be able to stay and help cleanup afterwards.
I am down for a stich'n bitch session any time of the year. No reason for you to be a lonely artist and mom when you have so many sisters to bitch with* ;) -
